As best damask steels were considered Indian and Persian with mesh and elbow pattern on a dark background, with golden outflow. By its properties damask blade was unique — should have to dissect thin kinds of fabrics (such as silks) in the air, without living the notches on an edge at cutting of iron, not to break and to be elastic. During manufacture of damask blade there were a lot of secrets. The basic secrets were opened, but the part of them still should be opened by metallographers and technologists in the future.
