Edgar Alan Poe is known not only as an ancestor of a detective genre. Due to the mature lyrics overflowed by tragic searches of beauty and its sense, Poe became hardly probable the main pre current of modernism in the literature.

The biography of Poe is covered legends quite often created by himself: as a true romantic he aspired to destroy a border between a reality and imagination, representing own life by the completed art short story, in which the destiny of the genius who is not recognizing above self authorities of ordinary concepts and norms is reconstructed. According to a plot of this short story Po appeared a descendant of the aristocrats who had left, on an example Bairon, to Greece to devote himself to struggle for its liberation, and survived the set of tests, including stay in St. Petersburg, where he was deserted by whim of destiny.
