Renaissance is the epoch of intellectual and art flourishing, which began in Italy in 14th century, having reached a peak in 16th century and having rendered significant influence on the European culture. The term “Revival” meaning return to values of the antique world has appeared in 15th century and has received a theoretical substantiation in 16th century in works of Vazari, devoted to famous creativity of artists, sculptors and architects. At this time there was a notion about harmony, reigning in a nature, and about the man as a halo of its creation. Among the outstanding representatives of this epoch are the artist Albertti, the architect, artist, scientific, poet and mathematics Leonardo Da Vinchi.

Approximately in 1425 Florence became the centre of Renaissance (the Florentine art), but by the beginning 16th century — the High Renaissance — the leading place had been occupied by Venice (Venetian art) and Rome. The cultural centres were the court yard dukes of Mantui, Urbino and Ferrad. The main maecenases were Medichi and Roman popes, especial Julius II and Lion Х.
