The Room 204 “Country”

Country is named as a rural style. This word is of Anglo-Saxon origin and means a country and village simultaneously.

The style was born in the USA, but long ago it stepped aside the primary source, becoming international, and exists in set of versions. Recently the definition expanded the horizons and now is used equally in relation to American ranch, Swiss chalet, Russian log hut, Latin American hacienda or English cottage. Speaking about country, first of all it means, generalized image of a village house without any concrete nationality. This lovely and cosy style keeps up to date: today it bided farewell with rude and naive rural simplicity and became more exquisite, refined and modern, but has kept the main advantages — absence of pretentiousness, softness, lyric style, affinity to a nature.
