Massage was known in high antiquity. In China it was described 3 000 years before Christ, and in India — 700 years before Christ. Romans used massage after battles to recover from blood bruises and tumors on the body. In Greece in times of Hippocrates massage was considered to be a remedy for many diseases. Nowadays there are different types of massage.
Massage has an overall health improving and strengthening effect for the whole organism and its systems (nervous, breathing, and supporting-motor ones). It stimulates immune defense, mitigates fatigue, stress and over-strain, improves overall health, stimulates blood circulation and supplies oxygen and nutrients to the tissues, purifies the organism from slag and breakdown products, and splits fat and decrease cellulites developments.
